The building on the left of the picture was the old Boat Inn. It has now been turned into a house. This is where the bridge crossed the river, it was known as Castledine's Bridge named after the Tennant of the Boat. It was a cart bridge.
The Building on the right of the picture is the Boat Inn as it was known. You can see fire damage to the roof.
